Chip and Cern’s High School has been in the news recently with
some teacher/student sexual harassment accusations. The freshman
student is a 14 year old female and the teacher is a 56 year old
health teacher.
According to the Sacramento
Bee, “on one occasion, according to the teen, Mason grabbed her
hands, pulled her close and essentially told her that he loved her.
He also complimented her appearance, telling her “You look awesome”
and “Oh, you are so fit,” according to the documents.”
Chip and Cern both agree that any sort of
physical contact between faculty members and students.
Hiking skirts or dresses up is inexcusable and this teacher should
be fired and never allowed to be around minors for a
profession.
Chip says that when he was in his class he really creeped him
out. In hindsight, 15 years later, it was very inappropriate some
of the things that he was doing. Chip and Cern both think that if
these allegations are true this wasn’t the first time.
Chip poses the question, “should you be allowed to
be a teacher if you give off creepy vibes or are deemed creepy?”
Both Chip and Cern agreed that is a slippery slope to start going
down, but for sure no touching, winking and asking students to call
you during the summer so you can hear their voice.
Chip doesn’t know/remember what a syllabus is and Cern has to
cover for him. They read through it and make jokes about health
class.
Chip and Cern then recall seeing the “beginning of life” video
that they show all the 6th graders which scars them for a few
years. Chip then suggests they should be teaching 6th graders about
using condoms and sex because by the time they are in high school
it is too late.
Chip and Cern share a story about when they were nearly
expelled from class in junior college for laughing in class. Not
just school girl giggling, but doubled over, falling out of the
chair laughing. There was an innocent 3rd party that was sitting by
Chip and Cern that got lumped into “you guys” and after some cell
phones went off the teacher, who was already triggered, kicked
EVERYONE out of the class except for Chip, Cern and the 3rd party.
He then said he will decide if Chip and Cern are still enrolled in
the class.
