Chip and Cern always seem to be battling with the big brands
and companies. Cern and Samsung, Chip and Xfinity and Cern and
DirectTV. Sometimes Chip and Cern don’t win every battle and today
is time for Chip to take the LOSS.
Chip and Cern have fairly well connected homes. Handfuls of
Alexas, Nest cams, cutting the cord, Chip’s wife works from home,
so they really use and blow through the data. Xfinity/Comcast
instituted a 1TB cap on their data. Chip and his household has gone
over this every month since it’s inception.
Cern takes a few moments to rant on AT&T’s shitty router
and modem.
Chip has called in to argue with Xfinity about the data cap
several times and this has become a stress point in Chip’s life and
marriage.
Chip has started to be a nudge around his house trying to get
the data usage down. Turn off the TV when you leave the room, don't
connect your phone to wifi and it is annoying to do
that.
Chip and his wife agreed to just pay the extra fee and rid
themselves of the stress of data management.
Xfinity beat Chip.
Cern shares a story about Verizon and how they bamboozled him
by adding an additional phone to his plan. Cern emailed the CEO of
Verizon about his fraud issue he had on his bill. Needless to say
he was not kind.
Cern is looking to better his wifi, Chip shares so knowledge
on “cutting the cord.” Chip really loves the Orbi router/ wifi mesh
system and it took away all the spotty wifi issues that his house
has been having.
