Chip and Cern Show

Jun 8, 2017

Chip and Cern finally got around to watching Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. They already admitted defeat on the Star Wars knowledge front, humbled themselves and called in a reliever. Welcome Chris from Man Points! Podcast. Rotten Tomatoes score 85% on the Tomatometer and 87% audience score.

Rogue One fits into the Star Wars Universe as movie 3.5 after Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

***SPOILERS TO FOLLOW***

Straight away Chris drops some serious Star Wars knowledge bombs to the podcast. Everyone really took exception on Forrest Whitaker’s character and the way it was played. Just didn’t seem to really fit in there at all.

Chip really didn’t like the blind guy and how much ass he was able to kick ass. Chris thought he was a cool character and Cern was also all in on him.

Darth Vader was, as usual, super bad ass in the movie and was loved all around the podcast.

Cern is perplexed by the amount of people that talk shit to Vader because he always fucks people up.

In Rogue One they used CGI to recreate a few deceased actors. The general thoughts were that he was overused for some parts, but it was really cool to see the technology. The Princess Leia camo/ CGI was spot on and perfectly executed.

K-2SO was Chip’s favorite character in the movie. He was way better than C-3PO in every aspect.

Chris, from Man Points Podcast, loved Cassian Andor and his grittiness. He appreciated that they showed more realness of war and the fact that Cassian has done some shit in his life.
